Terms of use

readpraysing (read pray sing on Google Play) is a free app for family worship at home, made and run by Jordan DeLuco. These are the terms for using it and the guidelines for the groups where families share with one another. Using the app means you agree to them.

Last updated October 24, 2026

Who may use it

readpraysing is for adults, 18 and over, who lead worship at home. Children take part through a parent’s account; they don’t have accounts of their own.

Your account

  • Keep your sign-in to yourself. Anyone with the code sent to your email, or with your Google sign-in, can open your account.
  • One family per account. The account is the family’s, and what is in it (evenings, prayers, plans) is the family’s.
  • Write to us if you think someone else has used your account.

Groups and sharing

Groups are where families share with one another. Everyone in a group sees your family name and crest, the evenings you share there (each one’s title, readings, prayer subjects and songs), what you post, the schedules and plans you share, and the group’s own name and description. A family in the group can take a prayer subject you share into its own evening, named for your family, and can copy a plan you share; those copies are theirs. Share only what you are happy for the whole group to see.

In a group, and in any plan you share, these guidelines apply:

  • Be kind. No harassment, threats, insults or bullying of another family or anyone else.
  • No hate: nothing that attacks people for who they are.
  • Nothing sexual, and nothing violent or gruesome.
  • Keep other people’s private details private: no addresses, phone numbers, health details or anything else about someone who hasn’t chosen to share it.
  • No spam, advertising, scams or links to harmful sites.
  • Only share what you have the right to share.

Groups are for families who worship together to encourage one another. Anyone may report a post, a family, a group or a shared plan; readpraysing’s staff read reported content, remove what breaks these guidelines, and can suspend a family that keeps breaking them.

You accept these the first time you join or start a group, post to one, or write or share a plan, and they apply every time after.

Reporting and moderation

Anyone can report a post, a family, a group or a shared plan from its Report… option. A report sends staff a copy of what was reported, as it was at that moment, with anything you write to explain it.

readpraysing’s staff don’t read your evenings, prayers or posts. They read what another family has reported, and the thing it points to, and the notes you send them yourself. The privacy policy lists the account details staff can see.

What breaks the guidelines is removed. A family that keeps breaking them can be suspended: it can still sign in, but reaches only a page that says the account is suspended, where it can also delete the account. A suspended family can appeal by writing to readpraysingadmin@gmail.com; we read every appeal and answer it.

You can also block a family yourself, from its options or a post’s: neither of you then sees the other’s posts or shared evenings in any group, until you undo it from Account. A group’s admins can remove a family from their group and keep it from rejoining.

Content you add

  • What you add stays yours. You keep every right to your evenings, prayers, notes, posts and plans.
  • You give readpraysing permission to store it and to show it to you and to the families you share it with. That is all the app does with it.
  • Add only what you have the right to add, and nothing illegal.
  • When you delete your account, what you added goes with it. The privacy policy says what copies other families may already have taken.

Bible text

Scripture in readpraysing is the King James Version, which is in the public domain, and the licensed translations the app offers, each used under its publisher’s terms. Bible text and copyright has the notices for the Bible translations and how the app uses them.

The service

  • readpraysing is free and carries no advertising.
  • It is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it running and right, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of mistakes, and it may change or stop.
  • Where the law allows, readpraysing isn’t liable for loss or damage from using the app or from not being able to. Nothing here limits what the law doesn’t let us limit.
  • We can close an account that breaks these terms. You can delete yours at any time from Account, or by writing to us.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new date. Using the app after that means you accept the new terms.
